Fatah stresses right to “Jihad”, honors arch-terrorists Abu Jihad and Abu Iyad

  • For its anniversary video, Fatah chose to feature Abu Iyad—head of Black September who planned the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre in which 11 athletes were murdered—and Abu Jihad who planned terror attacks in which 125 people were murdered

  • Fatah "renews oath" of Abbas and Arafat: "Flag of Palestine" will fly "over Jerusalem" and "revolution until victory"

Celebrating the 61st anniversary of the launch of the Fatah terror organization, PA Chairman Abbas' movement uploaded several videos and posts to social media to remind Palestinians that Fatah was and remains a terror organization. One of them stressed that "Jihad" remains part of Fatah and that it can fight Israel "any way" it wants. For emphasis, Fatah posted this video at least three times in the days leading up to the anniversary.

The video archive included footage of terrorist Salah Khalaf "Abu Iyad," who headed the terror organization Black September when it murdered 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics in 1972, and arch-terrorist Khalil Al-Wazir "Abu Jihad," who was responsible for the murder of 125 people in different attacks:

Terrorist Salah Khalaf "Abu Iyad": "We went to Fatah to realize the slogans of Jihad. It is our right to fight in the way we see fit."

Terrorist Khalil Al-Wazir "Abu Jihad":"The only thing we rely on is this willpower, which does not waver and will never waver in any way!"

In another video, Fatah included archive footage of speeches by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and former PA Chairman Yasser Arafat. Both statements express hostility toward Israel. Abbas recalls Arafat's "oath" that "a [Palestinian] boy or girl will wave the flag of Palestine" over Jerusalem. The quote expresses the political and religious aspiration for Palestinian sovereignty over Jerusalem Israel's capital city. The footage of Arafat shows him shouting his famous slogan coined in the 1960s: "Revolution until victory." The words express continued terror against Israel and reject compromise in favor of total "liberation of Palestine." The three words have since been adopted as the official slogan of Fatah:

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas: "This is our oath, that a [Palestinian] boy or girl will wave the flag of Palestine over the mosque minarets of Jerusalem and the churches of Jerusalem."

Former PLO and PA Chairman Yasser Arafat: "We swear, we swear that the procession will continue until victory, until victory, revolution, revolution until victory."

Palestinian Media Watch recently exposed additional statements by Fatah glorifying terror against Israel. Fatah's terror wing, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, promoted "armed struggle" as the "foremost" form of "resistance."
