Palestinian Media Watch analyst Ahron Shapiro's report in the wake of the Bondi Beach massacre was featured extensively across both broadcast and print news worldwide. The report brings to light condemnation by Palestinians of Ahmed Al-Ahmed following a Ramallah News item about how he had disarmed one of the Bondi shooters. Here are a few highlights from the most prominent media outlets:

"After the West Bank-based, aka Judea and Samaria-based, Ramallah News outlet shared a story about the life-saving actions taken by Ahmed Al-Ahmed, 43, many of the outlet's readers trashed the Muslim hero and prayed that he would not recover from his serious injuries, according to Palestinian Media Watch."

By Ronny Reyes

The heroic Syrian-Australian man who disarmed one of the terrorists firing at a crowd of Hanukkah revelers at Australia's Bondi Beach has been slammed as a traitor by many Palestinian commenters for saving Jewish lives, according to a new report.

Bondi attack sparks genocide calls by Palestinian extremists on popular Facebook site

BEN PACKHAM

The Bondi massacre has sparked an outpouring of anti-Semitic hatred in the Middle East, with hundreds of Palestinian extremists using the tragedy to call for a genocide against Jews.

A new analysis of Arabic comments on the popular Ramallah News article on the attack found nearly 90 per cent of more than 1400 posts rejoiced at the killing of Australian Jews by gunmen Naveed and Sajid Akram.

The posts were examined by Ahron Shapiro, a senior analyst at Palestinian Media Watch and the Australia/Israel & Jewish Affairs Council, who said they reflected "Palestinian popular sentiment about the murderous terror attack at Bondi Beach".

"Ramallah News is one of the most active Palestinian news feeds on Facebook, which is read by a cross-section of their society active on social media," Mr Shapiro told The Australian. "For this reason, it would be wrong to brush off these comments as those of a few extremists."
