PLO official: We want reform but one that “ensures the rights” of terrorists
PLO Central Council member and official PA daily columnist Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul: "The [Palestinian] national identity needs a redesign and reorganization, as well as a renewal through the implementation of a true reform, not through the dictated reform that is imposed, but rather through self-reform... We all support the implementation of reform, but one that is a Palestinian reform that protects the [Palestinian] identity, the fundamental Palestinian principles, and the Palestinian narrative, and also protects the Palestinian national history. We oppose any reform that renounces this history and this Palestinian national identity, or crushes them. [The reform must] ensure the right of the fighters of the struggle to protection and care, including the families of the Martyrs, the prisoners, and others."
