Israeli Arab libel: New Israeli property tax invented to hurt only Arabs

Official PA TV program Panorama on an Israeli government proposal to impose a property tax on landowners to finance economic losses from Hamas' Oct. 7 war on Israel

Director of the Arab Economic Forum in Israel Omar Fandi: "This [Israeli property] tax was invented directly against the Arab society, because there is no land registry for the Jewish society – of course the kibbutzes and all the moshavs (i.e., cooperative Jewish settlements) are exempt…"

Official PA TV host: "It is tailored to fit the Arab citizen."

Omar Fandi: "Yes, for the Arab citizen [only]: ‘Pay tax because you own 3% of Israel's lands.'"
