“Hamas doesn’t respect human life” – criticism shared by former Spokesman of the PA Security Forces

Lebanese journalist Mohamad Barakat: "It is self-evident that a person has no right to sacrifice another person. You have no right to sacrifice your neighbor, no right to sacrifice your son, and no right to sacrifice your people. Are you sacrificing yourself? No problem. Do you want to die as a Martyr? No problem. But a group of four or five people who sit in a room in Tehran, in Haret Hreik (i.e., Hezbollah's stronghold in Beirut), or in the Gaza Strip, and decide they want to sacrifice 100,000 people in Gaza (i.e., Hamas' Oct. 7 war on Israel). This has nothing to do with religion, nothing to do with law, and nothing to do with morality... The problem with the entire axis of resistance is that they treat the civilians as collateral damage that is unavoidable…in Palestine in particular. When they sit around the table and decide to wage war or carry out an operation (i.e., terror attack), they don't consider the civilians. "Let them die, starve, burn, no problem…" The tools they [Hamas] used to dig all these tunnels [in Gaza], why didn't they make shelters for civilians? … The problem with these resistance movements is that they do not respect human beings and human life."

Former Official Spokesman of the PA Security Forces Adnan Al-Damiri posted this video and text on his Facebook page:
