More terrorists could have been released in exchange for Israeli hostages - PLO official

PA TV host: "How did you follow the release of the [Palestinian] prisoners (i.e., terrorists)? …"

Public Relations Manager of the PLO Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Thaer Shreitah: "It is a light in a sea of darkness, but it is a pale light, as the prominent names of the prisoners' movement, the leaders of the prisoners' movement, are missing. Not all the prisoners (i.e., terrorists) sentenced to life imprisonment and to long terms, 50 and 60 years, have arrived… We are talking about 20 Israelis, soldiers and officers (i.e., freed hostages), for whom the prisons could have been emptied."
