Professor of Folklore and Anthropology at Birzeit University Sharif Kanaana: "The Jews want to monopolize sorrow and pain, and no one else is allowed to be bitter because they are the ones who went through the Holocaust… It was a short period that ended, and which had many consequences that they exploited to their advantage, very good consequences on which they lived comfortably establishing a state."
