UNRWA official denies well-documented participation of UNRWA staff in Hamas Oct. 7 massacre
During Hamas' Oct. 7 war on Israel, Israel exposed UNRWA's extensive involvement in Hamas terrorism, including the fact that numerous UNRWA employees were actively involved in the massacre, and many held senior positions in Hamas.
UNRWA Media Advisor Adnan Abu Hasna: "We no longer hear in the Israeli media and the oppositional media about the participation of UNRWA officials in the Oct. 7, [2023] events. This narrative has now disappeared. This is because the investigative committees have proven that [these] claims are not true."

A prominent example of the UNRWA-Hamas connection during Hamas' Oct. 7 war on Israel was Fateh Sherif, who was both the Hamas leader in Lebanon and Chairman of the UNRWA Teachers' Union in Lebanon before being killed in an Israeli airstrike on Sept. 30, 2024.
In response to UNRWA's documented terror involvement, Israel passed a law on Oct. 28, 2024 banning UNRWA's activity within Israel.
