PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Advisor on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Mahmoud Al-Habbash: "Despite our intense and deep disagreements with Hamas, whether regarding its path or its internal and external political behavior, we still insist on viewing it as an integral part of the Palestinian people, which it is. A few years ago, Israel and the US attempted to go to the [UN] General Assembly to define Hamas as a terror [organization]. Who opposed this? [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas personally."
